Lighting Design Wailea Gallery

Patina developed a lighting design concept for a Wailea gallery exhibiting the humpback whale photography of Douglas Hoffman. The objective was to present the artwork with clarity and atmosphere while allowing the images to remain the visual focus.

Working with the relationship between light, shadow and displayed photography, the lighting plan supports the gallery experience and the subjects depicted in Hoffman’s work. The project connects carefully considered illumination with an interior setting rooted in Maui’s ocean environment.
